We’re based in South London, where our friendly, knowledgeable and award-winning customer service crew are on hand to give green-fingered advice and ensure simple ordering and swift delivery.

Our History

Our story began when horticulturist and keen cook Ned Trier found himself once again in a London traffic jam on his way to work. Keen to avoid the traffic and keep busier in the quieter months, he decided to create a range of deliverable growing gifts in planet-friendly packaging.

He wanted each gift to contain something tasty to enjoy immediately, alongside a plant that would bring joy and pleasure over time, and it wasn’t long before those quieter winter months were history. Orders quickly came flying in, and soon that small collection had grown to over 200 gifts that you can choose from today.

With Ned’s horticultural expertise, we cultivate and nurture our plants at our nursery in Berkshire. Our South London warehouse now houses a happy team of ten, busily planting and wrapping thousands of exceptional gifts for delivery throughout the UK and Europe every year. Each crate is lovingly hand packed to order and sent by overnight courier, ensuring that they arrive on time and looking as wonderful as they did when they left the warehouse.

We’re proud that our gifts accompany life’s most joyful occasions and think that our crates are truly wonderful, but you don’t have to take our word for it! You can see what people are saying about their Gluttonous Gardener gifts here.
