Delectable cocktails for delightful Dads

We love inventing delicious new ways to use up our bountiful nursery harvest, and Father’s Day is always a perfect time to test out new creations.

Early summer brings an abundance of fresh herbs that are excellent for creating aromatic cocktails, and spicy, fragrant cinnamon basil, from our new Cocktail Growbar, is our current favourite.

Combined with gin and fresh lemon, it makes a refreshing, summery drink that is sure to please even the fussiest of fathers. This recipe makes one perfectly balanced and extremely delicious cocktail.

  • 10 cinnamon basil leaves
  • 60ml gin
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 15ml simple sugar syrup
  • Ice
  • Place the basil into a cocktail shaker and add the lemon juice. Muddle the lemon and the basil, crushing the basil leaves in the lemon juice.
  • Add the sugar syrup
  • Fill the shaker with ice and top with gin. Shake vigorously.
  • Double-strain into a tumbler glass filled with ice and garnish with another basil leaf.
